These are Native American Navajo Indian made. The web is made with artificial sinew on a antiqued leather covered steel ring
These artifacts were handcrafted by a Native American. They are modern day replicas of historical artifacts. Genuine materials are used in making these artifacts when at all possible.
Traditionally Dream catchers were constructed with Antiqued leather by tying sinew strands in a web around a small round or tear-shaped frame of willow.
The resulting "dream-catcher", hung above the bed, is used as a charm to protect sleeping people, usually children, from nightmares.
These Dream catchers are Handmade by Navajo artisans.
According to the Natives, Dream Catchers are intended to be hung on a wall by the window in a bedroom or at the head of a bed. The bad dreams get caught in the web while the good dreams work their way through the hole in the center of the Dream Catcher. Once the good dreams have gone through the center, they rest on the feathers like dew drops, and evaporate to the Great Spirit in the morning sun. The prayer beads at the bottom of these Dream Catchers trap all the bad dreams that are left on the web and burns them up. The colors of the leather, beading, and feathers may vary based on availability.
