This is a great and useful accoutrement covering a long span of American history. I don't go anywhere without this well made and attractive belt knife. Plus, when a shipping issue arose, the owner took broad strides to make things right.

So to anyone stating "It's not sharp" this thing legitimately near cut through the sheath of the second knife I ordered from Aki when I used it to try and slice the tape on the bubble wrap. A beautifully made knife and with two seconds run across a set of crockery sticks it's been made EVEN SHARPER. This is 100% useable out of the box. One small gripe, the sheath is oversized for the knife. like WAY oversized. I'm going to look about sewing/grommeting the sheath I was sent and trimming the leather on it to make it better match the knife's profile. Otherwise though VERY happy with this knife. Fundamentally do not get where all the "not sharp" arguments are coming from

I feel the sheath is too big for the knife. The whole knife with the shaft disappears down.
