I make these as accurate and authentic as possible in the traditional way. This particular war club is 20-1/2" in length and is made from a single piece of hardwood, it consists of a 3-3/4" Ball Head and a engraved double curve. A symbolic and powerful meaning, which would help aid and protect the owner. Prominent among these patterns of power was the double curve.
However Double Curves are believed to have started among the Algonquin group collectively known as the Wabanaki Confederacy, which includes the Abenaki, Mi’kmaq, Penobscot, Passamaquoddy and Malecite. These clubs were used more as a weapon than for ceremonial.

We might look at a piece from centuries ago may it be a drum, war club, knife, pipe, necklace, etc & think it's not perfect but actually it is, it's the hand crafted nature & techniques that the Native Americans used & which I use today with pride, skill & confidence.
